Effective Date: September 1, 1999

This legislation regulates organ harvesting and transplants. An individual who surgically removes a human organ for transplantation, implantation, infusion, injection, or any other medical or scientific purpose will perform the surgery in a facility licensed and approved by the department of consumer and industry services. An individual who violates this law is guilty of a felony.
