Right to Life of Michigan

Legislative Day 2008

On April 23, 2008, Right to Life of Michigan will hold its annual Legislative Day. Legislative Day, which takes place in the Lansing Center in the heart of downtown Lansing and only 5 blocks from the State Capitol, provides a program with a punch!

In addition to learning about current prolife legislation, getting lobbying tips and meeting with your state legislators, Right to Life of Michigan will provide an update on the petition drive to change Michigan's Constitution to allow for destructive embryonic stem cell research. This is the one prolife event you will not want to miss. Learn about embryonic stem cell research and human cloning, information you will not hear from the main-stream media.

As the guest speaker for Legislative Day, Right to Life of Michigan is proud to present Kurt Ramspott. Kurt Ramspott is founder and president of Guys for Life, a ministry aimed at men who are dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.

After high school graduation, Kurt Ramspott was scheduled to head to the University of Missouri when his girlfriend, Heidi, told him she was pregnant. College was put on hold and the new focus was on learning to be a parent. A few years after this life changing event, Kurt had an epiphany - abortion is wrong. He asked himself, "What as a man am I doing about it?" Kurt's answer was to found Guys for Life. And that is where you will find him today: knee deep in the battle of leading other men to the stark realization that they have a greater role than currently perceived in protecting the lives of the unborn.

Make plans to attend this exciting event in Lansing. You will be informed and encouraged with the necessary information to be a resource in your community! For your convenience, you may register on-line at rtl.org.
