Abortion Clinic Closes
Edmund Miller, a teacher at Spiritus Sanctus Academy, and Alicia Wong, who has children attending Spiritus Sanctus Academy, worked together organizing a consistent prolife presence at the Women’s Choice abortion clinic. Edmund and Alicia’s efforts were aided as they were joined by other moms from Spiritus Sanctus and students from Ave Maria Law School. This group’s presence at the clinic became so familiar that some of the sidewalk counselors were invited into the clinic by the abortionist. Initially surprised at the invitation, Alicia and another counselor went in and talked to the abortionist in his office for about 30 minutes. According to Alicia, the abortionist kept bringing up the two main reasons why he performed abortions: to make extra money and to “help women.” Prolife people know that abortion will never, ever help women. With acts of kindness and thoughtful conversation, prolife people do make a difference and change hearts and minds. Ann Arbor shows that the peaceful prolife efforts of a few individuals can make a huge difference in the lives of unborn children. Everyone has the power to use their voice in one way or another to make a difference for life. Do you want to make a difference for life but don’t know how to get started in your community? Right to Life of Michigan wants to help and encourage you. Local Right to Life of Michigan affiliates work to save lives by changing hearts and minds through a wide variety of prolife activities.
