Mere mortal decisionsAlthough most of us don't often think of ourselves as mere mortals, we are. We know, all too well, that we will not live forever ... that's a fact of life. Since none of us is aware of the exact day or the time, we owe it to ourselves, our families, and others who hold a special place in our hearts to be prepared. Being prepared means making those mere mortal decisions today. It means completing a will or trust to speak on your behalf when you no longer have a voice. One day that document will direct the probate court judge in the distribution of all your possessions. Today you have time to plan ... to think about your spouse, your children and the important work of charities you've supported in your lifetime like Right to Life of Michigan. You may wish to provide for one or all of them in your will or trust ... the choice is yours, but only if you take time to plan. Right to Life of Michigan would be pleased to provide a listing of prolife estate planning attorneys in your area to be of help to you and your family. We would also be pleased to assist with questions you may have. Let's also talk about another document everyone should have completed, even though it is not required. It's called the Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care (DPOA-HC). It's legal mechanism which allows you to appoint a person to make health care decisions for you should you become unable to do so. It is an incredibly important document to have completed before you need it. In fact, all members of your family who are 18 years of age and older may wish to think about completing this document. The DPOA-HC is available through Right of Life of Michigan and does not require the assistance of an attorney. Right to Life of Michigan is standing by to be of service to you and
your family ... we can help!
