Springfield, Ill. Researchers writing in the August
issue of the Archives of General Psychiatry have acknowledged
that some women experience post-abortion syndrome. The research
team led by Dr. Brenda Major, diagnosed post-abortion syndrome
in some women who had abortions two years previously.
Dr. David Reardon, who directs a post-abortion research and education
organization known as the Elliot Institute, stated Major's study
clearly demonstrates the presence of delayed reactions to the
abortion decision.
Grand Rapids, Mich. The public is invited to attend
one of two free Estate and Gift Planning Seminars offered by Right
to Life of Michigan on October 16, 2000, at 1:30 p.m. to 2:30
p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The seminars will be at Right to Life
of Michigan's office, located at 2340 Porter Street SW.
William Peper, J.D., an estate planning attorney and Planned
Giving coordinator for Right to Life of Michigan, and Kathleen
Bordo Crombie, RLM's director of Planned Giving, will be the presenters.
They will discuss basic estate planning documents such as wills,
trusts, powers of attorney and medical powers of attorney. Some
simple methods to avoid probate, lessen taxes, generate additional
income, and serve as a good steward for your family and favorite
charities will also be discussed.
