A prolife state representative valiantly defends prolife legislation
Rep. Triette Reeves (D-Detroit) spoke out in favor of the Legal
Birth Definition Act during House floor debate on May 8. Rep.
Reeves passionately defended the right to life for children who
are in the process of being born.
Rep. Reeves said:
"This is not about constitutionality. This is about a
procedure that I personally find to be horrific. Remember, it
was considered constitutional at one time for a person of my race
to be a slave. It was considered constitutional at one time for
a person of my race to be considered three-fifths of a person.
It was considered legal for my personal savior to be crucified."
Reeves went on to say that the legislation adequately addresses
the physical health of the mother and miscarriages, and urged
her colleagues to support the Legal Birth Definition Act.
Prolife people are encouraged to contact Governor Jennifer Granholm.
Send a message loud and clear to Gov. Granholm: "Please sign
the Legal Birth Definition Act. A partially born child must be
legally protected."
