January activities planned throughout Michigan
In memory of the dreadful decisions that laid waste to a states
ability to protect unborn human life, Right to Life of Michigan
and its affiliates have planned numerous events across the state.
Prayer vigils, programs for reflection, marches, memorial services,
and prolife rallies are just a few of the many types of events
planned on and around January 22, 2003.
These events, while looking back at the immeasurable loss brought
on by 30 years of legalized abortion, help prolifers renew their
efforts and hope for the future. Special speakers are being planned
for many of the events. Jean Garton, Dr. Anthony and Cecelia Levatino,
and Jill Stanek are a few presenters who will be speaking in Michigan
during the month of January.
Right to Life of Michigan and its affiliates have also organized
bus trips to Washington, D.C. so Michigans prolifers have
the opportunity to join with others from across the country to
participate in the 30th annual March for Life.
The March for Life is a great chance for all sections of the
prolife movement to come together to peacefully protest abortion
and mourn the immense loss of life that it has caused in the last
30 years. It would be exceptional if we could once again have
an impressive contingency from Michigan marching from the Washington
Monument to the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Buses are leaving from many different spots including Branch
County, Brighton, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Plymouth, Southeast Michigan
and Traverse City.
