Washington Welcomes Miller
Michigans Newest Congresswoman is Strongly Prolife
The 10th Congressional District in Michigan has both a new representative
and an experienced public servant.
Congresswoman Candice Miller is no stranger to politics. Most
recently, Miller served as Michigans Secretary of State
from 1994-2002. Now as a U.S. Representative from the 10th District,
Miller will represent Huron, Lapeer, part of Macomb, Sanilac and
St. Clair counties.
Miller is energized and ready to represent the 10th Congressional
District. She said the swearing-in ceremony was incredible. Miller
was reminded historically of the people who have gone before her,
those who have shaped our country. Miller recognizes that serving
under President Bush is a privilege. President Bush is a
remarkable leader, Congresswoman Miller said.
Michigan will be a battleground during the next presidential
election. For Candice Miller, her prolife position was a disadvantage
in parts of her district, according to polling results.
Right to Life of Michigan President Barbara Listing said, The
polls show prolife people must continue working in their communities,
each person must strive to educate and inform their family and
friends regarding life issues.
Prolife people must continue to roll-up their sleeves and work
to have proper representation on the most critical issue facing
our country, abortion.
Whats exciting for Congresswoman Miller is that technology
has reckoned when life begins.
Congresswoman Miller said, We are learning more about the
humanity of the unborn child. Science and truth support the prolife
movement.
Congresswoman Miller wants to hear from her constituents. She
encourages e-mail messages, phone calls, faxes and mailed letters.
It takes approximately 6 weeks before members of Congress receive
letters. Therefore, for timely issues, it is important to e-mail,
call or fax your input to Congresswoman Miller.
Congresswoman Candice Miller was named to the Armed Services and
