Prolife Action Needed

In the upcoming weeks, Michigan's Senators, Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow, will be asked to take a vote on human cloning. This is a crucial vote on a very important issue. One bill, proposed by Senator Sam Brownback (R-Kansas) will ban human cloning. Other bills, correctly labeled "clone and kill bills," will attempt to legalize human cloning for experimentation purposes. This must not be tolerated. The House of Representatives has already passed a complete ban on human cloning with strong bipartisan support. Senators Levin and Stabenow are in Washington, D.C. to represent the people of Michigan. Help them truly represent you and your views by calling or e-mailing their offices.

Please contact your U.S. Senators by letter, email, or phone and tell them to vote for the Brownback bill and a complete ban on human cloning. Following are the addresses and phone numbers for Michigan's U.S. Senators:

State Level Legislation:

Michigan House Bill 4655 for Prioritizing Family Planning Funding passed the House in 2001. Now the Michigan Senate will address prioritizing family planning. If passed, legislation will prioritize funds so that tax money allocated for family planning will be given first to organizations that are not involved in abortion advocacy.

Please contact your Michigan Senator and tell him/her that abortion is NOT family planning and that you don't want your tax dollars going to organizations that promote abortion as "part of the full continuum of reproductive healthcare."
