RLM Board makes praying, fasting priority
The diversity of the prolife movement is its strength. Prolife
people work in unique ways to promote the sanctity of all human
life, born and unborn. The talents and dedication of many people
have produced a climate of life in Michigan, but now is not the
time to rest or relax.
At the July 10, 2002, Right to Life of Michigan Board meeting,
the Board of Directors passed the following:
"The Directors of the Right to Life of Michigan Board will
be fasting and praying every Tuesday, beginning on Tuesday, July
16, through Tuesday, November 5, for the intention of electing
prolife candidates to public office."
Prolife lawmakers have been the driving force behind many state
laws that have reduced abortions and provided protection for human
life.
RLM Board Director Sharon Heydlauf-Starling proposed the idea.
Heydlauf-Starling said, "I've never doubted that we have
a prolife president because of dedicated people praying and fasting.
It is our Christian responsibility to promote the sanctity of
human life this is one way we can fight the battle for
the lives of others."
Right to Life of Michigan President Barbara Listing said, "We
encourage those of all faiths to unite in this effort for our
elected leaders."
Please join the Right to Life of Michigan Board with praying
and fasting for the future of our communities, state and country.
