Right to Life of Michigan
 

Right to Life of Michigan is governed by a board of directors composed of one director from each of the 14 geographical regions of the state with additional directors chosen at large from the membership without regard to residence. RLM coordinates activities of local affiliates sharing the commitment to the protection of each individual's basic right to life. In particular, RLM initiates and coordinates public awareness activities in order to foster a true respect for all human life; initiates and supports political, legal and legislative efforts so that the full protection of the laws of our state and nation will once again be afforded to all human beings; and coordinates Michigan prolife activities with those of other states and the nation as a whole.

RLM is the parent group. It is the state umbrella organization to which the local county and city groups affiliate. Together these groups work toward the common goals of education and legislation by informing the public of our priorities through a bi-monthly newspaper, with prolife educational materials and with prolife speakers. Our prolife viewpoints are presented to our elected representatives through citizen grassroots lobbyists and our state legislative director.

Our state structure has served as a model for other right to life groups across the nation. We have become a training ground as delegations from across the nation have visited our office; our officers and staff have held
seminars and workshops at national and state conferences on the nuts and bolts of running a state right to life organization. Our state central office is located at:

Right to Life of Michigan plays a unique role within the prolife movement. Our membership is composed of people of all walks of life, from all educational backgrounds and religious faiths. Our unifying and coordinating efforts reach across the whole state covering all our affiliates and networking with other specialized prolife groups. We also work hand-in-hand with numerous crisis pregnancy agencies.
