Sanctity of Human Life Sunday 2008 will mark 35 years of legalized abortion in the United States. Every year at this time, we remember and mourn the January 22, 1973, U.S. Supreme Court Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton rulings. With more than 48 million abortions performed since that date, it is no wonder that human life is now treated as a commodity.

As we approach the memorial of the two Supreme Court rulings that degraded human life to a "choice," people who believe life is precious are now fighting to stop human cloning and embryonic stem cell research which requires killing a human in the earliest stages of life.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is a time to mourn the loss of innocent human life to abortion. It is also a time to pray for change in our country that now finds herself at another crossroad in history. For your January prolife events, Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund offers the "Life is Precious" bulletin insert. This insert which includes fetal development information is perfect for inclusion in church bulletins and/or for handing out at prolife events commemorating these horrific Supreme Court decisions. Also available are educational materials on the topics of abortion, embryonic stem cell research, human cloning as well as other prolife merchandise and gear.
