Right to Life of Michigan youth programs

High School Oratory Contest

Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund's annual high school oratory contest is open to all prolife high school students in Michigan. Contestants give a 5-7 minute speech on one of several prolife topics. Local contests are sponsored by affiliates across the state in the spring, followed by a state contest for local winners. MORE

Outstanding Prolife Youth Award

Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund will award a scholarship in May to one outstanding prolife high school senior in Michigan. Selection criteria include an essay and past participation in prolife activities. MORE

Youth Infographic Contest

Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund is hosting a Youth Infographic Contest for high school and college-aged Michigan youth. Prolife young people from Michigan ages 13 to 22 can create and submit an original infographic, and contest finalists will have their works shared on Right to Life of Michigan's Facebook page in the summer and judged by a public vote to determine the winners. National Right to Life Academy

National Right to Life's Academy is a summer program for student leaders who want to refine their prolife passion.The five-week course is held at National Right to Life headquarters in Washington, D.C. Topics covered include abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research, healthcare, legislative strategy, history of the prolife movement, medical ethics, prenatal development and lobbying. MORE

Student Statesmanship Institute
Every summer in Michigan, Student Statesmanship Institute hosts their one week Summer Program in Lansing. Students can participate in a mock legislature, business, judicial, media, or campaign track. There are three sessions offered, two in June and one in July. The Summer Program is open for students entering their first year of high school to students entering their first year of college. Registrations are first come, first served, and a discount is offered for registering before March 15, 2016. MORE

University Faculty for Life Essay Contest 2016

University Faculty for Life is now accepting submissions from students for its annual Scholarly Achievement Award in Creative Writing, Literary Criticism, or Research. The contest is open to undergraduate and graduate students at any higher education institution. The deadline for submissions is Saturday, May 28, 2016. Winner may be offered an opportunity to read their work before the annual University Faculty for Life conference. MORE
