SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER:
Melissa Ohden
More than 54 million children have lost their lives to abortion in the United States since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. Many know the sad reality of this statistic, but most don't know that sometimes children survive failed abortions and exist in our world today.
Melissa Ohden's powerful story of surviving a failed saline infusion abortion in 1977, overcoming the concerns regarding her ability to survive past infancy and go on to lead a "normal" life is one you will not want to miss. Plan to join us to hear Melissa's struggle to face the reality of her life as an abortion survivor and, ultimately, becoming a voice for the unborn.
Melissa is the founder of FOR OLIVIA'S SAKE, an organization which addresses the impact abortion has on families and communities. She has used her master's degree in social work to counsel individuals who have suffered domestic violence, sexual assault or mental health issues. Melissa is truly a "voice for the voiceless."
Right to Life of Michigan's Legislative Day is an enjoyable and productive opportunity to learn about current prolife legislation and to meet with your legislators over lunch. We hope to see you on March 27 at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing! |
